Gráinne Whelan
I qualified from the Dental Hospital in 1995 and went on to study my Diploma in Adult Education in UCD while I was working in the Dental Hospital as a dental nurse. I then became a lecturer for the Dental Nurse programme. Following this I studied my BSc in Healthservice Management and BA in Legal Studies in DIT. This enabled me to move into management role within the healthservice. I became an area manager for elder care in the community for 10 years before returning to dentistry. For the last number of years I have worked as practice manager and joined Blessing Dental in 2017.
I am honoured to work alongside a great team, particularly a close acquaintance Dr Margaret Blessing. Our paths crossed 19 years ago when we travelled to Romania as part of a dental voluntary team. We worked for two weeks in orphanages treating as many children as possible.
In my spare time I enjoy pilates and getting to the gym.
