Dearest Patient,

Blessing Dental is taking the following steps to help assure your health and well-being and that of our community supporting national efforts to fight the COVID - 19 pandemic:

  • You will be asked a series of questions in relation to pre appointment Covid 19 screening protocols on the phone when making your appointment
  • We are following directives from the Irish Dental Association as a way to limit patient and staff exposure to this virus.
  • You will be asked a series of questions in relation to pre appointment Covid 19 screening protocols on the phone when making your appointment
  • We ask that patients attend their appointments on their own and at the allocated time as we are not facilitating a waiting area at the moment
  • Children maybe accompanied by 1 adult only
  • Before entering the surgery, you will be asked to leave all personal belongings in the waiting room
  • Following this, you will be asked to sanitize your hands
  • Dr Blessing will take your temperature and will use a pulse oximeter to check pulse and oxygen levels before treatment commences
  • All of our staff are wearing enhanced levels of PPE including FFP3 masks, face shields, surgical gowns and gloves
  • Staff's temperature and oxygen levels are checked every day
Once treatment has finished:
  • Patient is asked to sanitize when leaving the surgery
  • The surgery is bleached, wiped down and sanitized and disinfected thoroughly
  • Following this the surgery is then fogged out with a fogging machine
  • All instruments are autoclaved in our sanitization area
  • The surgery is left for 20 minutes (Fallow Time) after fogging. We also use a UV radiation light before another patient can be brought in
  • Windows are left open all day in our surgeries in order to keeping the air circulating
  • All areas in the reception area are also sanitized and disinfected following the patient's departure. This includes pay machine, reception counter, door handles
